Hilipert Unisex Heated Vest Review

First impressions

Out of the bag it feels like a lightweight windbreaker rather than a piece of technical heating equipment. The memory-cotton body with a Lycra panel hugs the torso, which is the whole point: a heated vest works by warming the thin air layer against your body, and a loose vest keeps losing that air every time you move.

The controller is a single button on the chest that cycles through three levels. There is no app, no pairing, nothing to configure. Press once, and by the time you have zipped up the collar is already warm.

Heat and coverage

Four pads cover the upper chest, the mid and lower back, and the collar. That last one is the reason this vest outperforms competitors with double the zone count — the back of the neck has an outsized influence on how warm you feel, and most vests leave it cold.

The three levels run at roughly 40–45°C, 50–55°C and 60–65°C. In testing I used the top level for three or four minutes to bring everything up to temperature, then dropped to the lowest and stayed there. That is also where the quoted sixteen-hour runtime comes from.

Living with it

It runs from a standard USB power bank, which is a quietly important advantage: when the pack eventually degrades you replace it from any electronics shop rather than hunting for a proprietary part. The battery pocket sits inside the vest, keeping the pack warm, which meaningfully improves cold-weather capacity.

The shell is water-repellent and windproof, and the whole garment washes as long as you remove the battery first. After a winter of daily use the fabric showed no wear and every zone still heated evenly.

The catch

It is sold only through Hilipert's own store. There is no Amazon listing, no Prime shipping and no wall of third-party ratings to read. If that matters to you, the CHAPAREL vest at #2 is the best Amazon-based alternative here — but it costs substantially more and does not heat the collar.
