Hecusma leans hard on zone count: nine heating areas with 4-in-1 independent control, fed by a 16,000mAh 7.4V pack rated for up to ten hours on low. On paper that is the most coverage per pound in this ranking.

The fabric is waterproof and wind-resistant, there are several pockets, and the vest is machine washable once the battery comes out.

Reality check

Zone count is a weaker signal than it looks. Manufacturers count zones differently, and spreading the same battery energy across nine areas does not automatically feel warmer than concentrating it on four well-placed ones — which is precisely why our #1 pick, with four pads including the collar, outscored it in wear testing.

Stock was showing as down to the last unit when we checked, which makes it a difficult vest to recommend to someone who needs it this week.

Verdict

Good value if you can get one, and the controller and battery are legitimately capable. The bulkier controller and the availability risk keep it at #4.
